ATF recently annouced the following changes:

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives  has made new changes this year  by requiring  everyone who is purchasing a firearms or transfer to under go background check  with FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) . This means, a Minnesota Permit to Carry holder, will not be able to by-pass the NICS background check..

A Firearms Safety Education Certificate is required to purchase a Minnesota Hunting License:

1. No field day required If Born before December 31, 1979.

2. If you are planning to hunt out of states, most states require a         Firearms Safety Education Certificate to purchase out of states Hunting License.

MN PERMIT TO CARRY Training

LC specializes in firearms safety and self-defense training. The Minnesota Permit To Carry / Concealed Carry training is a complete training course that will cover the following topics:  introduction to basic pistol mechanics,  Minnesota Permit To Carry Law- statutes 624 and statutes 609, safety in the home and  self-defense against an attacker.  This Permit To Carry "Concealed Carry" training course is accepted by a number of states as proof of training for an application to carry a concealed firearm.

This complete firearms training course is developed for every level of experience, whether a person is a first-time shooter or an experienced shooter, the knowledge you gain from this complete course will increase your awareness and prepare you to better defend yourself.

Students must attend in class instruction and complete an actual shooting exercise before certificate of completion be given. Students must be on-time for class and be prepare to drive to shooting range.
